Hello, I don't remember the last time I have written a letter to a teacher. For last fall term, I have tried to get a higher grade than the mid evaluation grade. I tried to go to your extra helps, rewrite the essays that I got back. I tried to improve my writing skills so that it would be good enough for your class. Unfortunately, I was not able to put in my full effort and concentration while taking your finals because I was sick. (I feel like I get sick pretty easily.) So I ended up getting a B+ for fall term. However, as I have told you after discussing about my career, I would really like to be in AP English next year. In order to get in those classes, I figured that I would have to get an A in your class. So, for me I would like to aim for a solid A in your class. I know that it would be tough, but I am willing to put my best effort and time in order to do better in class. I will get my work done on time, improve my writings, participate in class and many other ways. As you would know, I am more of a quiet student in class. I tend to keep quiet when I am not so close with my classmates. In the class that I was in before, Ms.Cahill used to tell me that I participated by answering one of the questions that most of the students could not answer. However, being in your class is very different from my previous class. It is more challenging and most of the students were from Dr.Carey's class so I feel a little bit behind. And since I'm not a native english speaker, it is more difficult for me to participate and be more active in class. But, I will try to be more participating. I hope this letter was able to show you how much effort I'm willing to put into English.
